Background :
The PAF receptor binds platelet-activating factor (PAF) and is thought to mediate its action via a G protein that activates a phosphatidylinositol-calcium second messenger system. PAF is a chemotactic phospholipid mediator that possesses potent inflammatory, smooth-muscle contractile and hypotensive activity. It has been implicated as a mediator in diverse pathologic processes, such as allergy, asthma, septic shock, arterial thrombosis, and inflammatory processes. The PAF receptor is induced by granulocyte macrophage colony-stimulating factor (GM-CSF), interleukin-5 and n-butyrate. A diverse range of compounds act as PAF receptor antagonists; these may be useful pharmacologically.
UniProt :
P25105

Primary antibody were incubated for 30 min on the ice, followed by 1 X PBS containing 0.5% BSA + 1 0% goat serum (15 min) to block non-specific protein-protein interactions. Then the Goat Anti-rabbit IgG/PE antibody was added into the blocking buffer mentioned above to react with the primary antibody at 1/200 dilution for 30 min on ice. Acquisition of 20,000 events was performed. |Tips:This product is for research use only. Not for use in diagnostic prodcedures.
Rabbit anti-PAFR Polyclonal Antibody
Antibodies are immunoglobulins secreted by effector lymphoid B cells into the bloodstream. Antibodies consist of two light peptide chains and two heavy peptide chains that are linked to each other by disulfide bonds to form a “Y” shaped structure. Both tips of the “Y” structure contain binding sites for a specific antigen. Antibodies are commonly used in medical research, pharmacological research, laboratory research, and health and epidemiological research. They play an important role in hot research areas such as targeted drug development, in vitro diagnostic assays, characterization of signaling pathways, detection of protein expression levels, and identification of candidate biomarkers.Related websites: https://www.medchemexpress.com/antibodies.html
